20 February 2010: Cineform's Neo4K and Neo3D support Wave :

The Wave is now supported by CineForm’s First Light application that is included with Neo4K and Neo3D on both Windows and Mac.  First Light allows non-destructive adjustment of CineForm’s 2D and 3D Active Metadata parameters during post-production editing or effects workflows. Examples of 2D controls include adjustments for white balance, exposure, contrast, saturation, lift, gamma, and gain.  Examples of 3D adjustments include convergence (horizontal, vertical, or skew), zoom, and keystoning.

The Wave replaces software sliders for adjusting these parameters with knobs and trackerball-dial pairs.  The Wave offers a further workflow advantage for adjusting Active Metadata parameters in a non-linear editor (e.g., Final Cut Pro (Mac) or Premiere Pro (Win)) while the NLE is in the Windows foreground. This gives the effect that color or convergence adjustments are being made directly in the NLE.

24 July 2009: Apple Color v1.5 supports the Wave:

We are very pleased to announce that the new release of Apple Color v1.5 includes an interface for the Wave panel. For the first time, a professional grade Colour Correction Control surface is within reach of every user!

To enable control of Color, users will first need to download the Apple Color Support pack from this website. The pack includes a Plugin to enable communication and the Wave Mapper – a utility which gives operators the ability to completely customise the operation of the panel to suit their own way of working.

A Beta test version of the Wave Color Support pack is now available to be dowloaded from our support page. There is also a manual giving full instructions on installation and operation. We expect that the beta phase to  be short and that release v1.0 will be available very soon.

11 April 08 : Launching the Wave:

With the Wave we are bringing a new level of affordability and quality to control surfaces. The design draws heavily on the experience gained from our highly successful CP100 and CP200 panel ranges. The Wave is not intended to replace these panels, it is just aimed at the more budget conscious user.

Take a closer look on the Wave Product Page.
